I told my husband I had a great idea for yesterday’s haiku and he asked “what’s the word?” and I said “paradox” and he said “you’re going to write about Star Trek, aren’t you!” 🙂

I could get nitpicky and point out that it’s referred to as The Original Series (TOS) since “Classic,” well, The Next Generation is now 25 years old and is “classic” in its own sense. The TOS episode is “The Guardian of Forever”… TNG is “All Our Yesterdays” I think… I just love that you could make a haiku themed on each series. Trek writers got a little too enamored of those “temporal paradox” stories. I think all the series would have been more interesting if time travel was never included, with the possible exception of movie IV.

Seriously! TNG is the first Trek I really watched, so it is classic to me too (but you are making me feel old, so knock it off!). You are close on the episodes. The TOS is City on the Edge of Forever (The Guardian of Forever is the name of the portal). TNG is Yesterday’s Enterprise. I have to admit, it was a little overwhelming to choose episodes because there are so MANY time paradoxes!!! So I went with either 1) my favorites or 2) the easiest to put in a haiku. 🙂 Thanks for playing!!
